2020 Featued Top Agent
For Brooke DeVries, real estate is a family endeavor. Her mom used to own the local Century 21, and when Brooke got started in the business she was one of the youngest agents in the area. Now Brooke has been working in real estate for almost 20 years, and since her daughter has started working with her as well, they are a third-generation real estate family. It is this local, family-oriented approach that keeps clients coming back to Brooke and her company, DeVries Real Estate, for unparalleled and compassionate service.
Brooke serves all of western Montana. She and her husband own a building company in the area. About 70% of her business comes from repeat and referral clients, who are drawn to Brooke’s authenticity in the way she does business. “People like that we’re a local, ‘ma and pa’ shop,” Brooke says. “I have a luxury brand I’ve created over the years, and people know we provide excellent customer service and care because it’s my brand, not a franchise.”
It’s this personal touch that lets clients know they are appreciated. Brooke makes a point to reach out regularly to past clients to check-in and see how they are doing, whether it’s a phone call, a message on social media, or an invitation to one of the barbecues Brooke hosts at her house. “I make sure I’m top-of-mind with all my clients,” Brooke says.
When she markets a listing, Brooke is able to draw on her impressive online presence to reach as many potential buyers as possible. “We invest a lot in our website, BrookeDeVries.com, so it shows up at the top of all search results for anything related to western Montana real estate,” Brooke explains. “We make sure the website has the content people are looking
for. We feature genuine stories, like how I grew up here and how we raised our family here, so potential clients can see we are the real deal.”
Brooke loves to give back to her community. Every year her company donates to Emma’s House, a charity for children who are in foster care, as well as the Linda Massa Youth Home. When she is not working or giving back, she and her husband breed Texas Longhorn cattle on the ranch they own. She also enjoys oil painting, having gone to school for art. Brooke loves the outdoors and enjoys hiking, fly fishing, and hunting. “I love living in a mountain community,” she says. “It’s a really fun lifestyle.”
In the future, Brooke plans to keep providing the same great service to her clients. “I want to keep it simple, but also detail-oriented,” she says. “I believe in that business model. It never goes out of style. The best thing you can do for your clients is to keep communication as perfect as you can, and offer great customer service.”
